Partnerships through our Parent and Community engagement processes are an integral part of nurturing the whole child. We value our established and pursuit of building further partnerships beyond our school gate as together we are stronger and make a real difference in supporting student growth, living and getting along with others as part of a school family.
Our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Liaison Officer plays a vital role in supporting and making links between school and homes. Our “Every Day Counts” Strategy strongly affirms that children who attend every day improve in their learning. A school wide focus on attendance every day is expected at Richie Hill. School follow up is regular and supported by local Police Liaison Officers.
The role of our Adopt-a-cop and Police Liaison Officers are of tremendous support to both students, staff and parents at Richie.
Parent–Teacher Communication is a priority in supporting children’s learning and improvement is teachers-students-parents working together! It takes work and regular communication is essential in building connections, parental involvement, sharing where children are at what goals they are striving to achieve to be successful as learners. It is also an essential part of our Responsible Behaviour Plan.
Richie Hill shares information through phone calls, emails, parent letters, interviews, awards, newsletters, Facebook, the SkoolBag App and Communication Books to share a few strategies we use to engage in the meaningful exchange of information, thoughts and messages.
